Melody Newcomb is a freelance illustrator who lives in Harlem, NY. Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma she was raised in a multicultural home and has lived in many places including Texas, Virginia, and Upstate New York.

She received her BFA in Illustration from the School of Visual Arts. Her artwork is distinctly detailed, and painterly with close fascination with biology and design. Her work has been featured in annuals and blogs including Society of Illustrators, American Illustration, Creative Boom, and Illustration Age.

She watches far too much television.
